HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

We are so excited about a brand new year of kindergarten! We have fun new ways to learn the "same ol' stuff." We can't wait to start learning our letters, their sounds, some sight words and putting all that together with the joy of books to make life long readers!

Our resolution this year is to find a way for each child to find books they love and get them on their way reading independently!

Please check back to see what new things we are doing and what you can do to encourage and support our kinder classes on this journey!

I liked where the fox was going past the sheeps"

The mouse sed The DucK is Noisy

(The mouse said the duck is noisy.)

"I just remember that they were playing kickball and then it just crashed in the dog house and they were scared to go in there."

When Adam was reading this book to me to practice it, he learned to use the stop signs at the end of the sentence to read with enthusiasm! He did a great job!

Junie B. Jones is Captain Field Day

Junie B. is at it again! We finished this book just in time for our own field day! Junie B. got to be captain of her class during field day. She was so excited to be the boss, but she soon found that it was a tough job to keep everyone in good spirits, especially when they were getting "skunked" by Room 8. Junie B. taught us the right and wrong way to cheer on our teammates and how to be a good sport! In the end there was an unlikely hero....
